Frederickburg TX Wedding | Wedding Wednesday Archives | Cheryl + Shawn

A little way back Wednesday today for the blog! This beautiful fall Fredericksburg wedding still has has my heart. Even now, several years later I look back on the images and just swoon over the gorgeous colors and the light. Fall season is around the corner – it’s been crisp these past two mornings and I’m digging out my cardigans to wear around the house.

Deep maroons and oranges, Cheryl and Shawn’s wedding in Luckenback Texas (*sings the Waylon Jennings song*) was the classic fall wedding. Cheryl and Shawn were married at sunset because that’s tradition in the Jewish religion so we had to a lot of portraits before the ceremony. Viridain Design did the florals and wow, just wow. Tricia always does excellent work!

I remember the wedding feeling like I had known Cheryl and Shawn my whole life. They were funny and outgoing. They loved traditions but also added their own little bits here and there. They had pie from Fredericksburg Pie Company (https://www.fbgpie.com) and did the Hora Dance, also known as the chair dance. It certainly takes stamina and balance! It was the highlight of the reception.

Cheryl studied fashion design in New York and a few of colleagues came to Texas for the wedding. Boy, could those guys and gals dance! I had so much fun watching and photographing them!

Below are my favorites from day. Especially the bridesmaid’s in the blue jean jackets.
