If I had to choose my favorite time to photograph outdoors, it would definitely be fall. I especially love the session for fall mini sessions. This fall mini session below has to be hands down one of my most favorites I’ve ever done. While I did shoot this session a couple of years ago, I still use these images for my marketing because it my opinion it is the perfect example of what I would love every fall mini session to look like.

That evening, the light was disappearing on me fast and I knew I had 15 min to make the most of what we had. We had gotten some rain or it was about to rain, I cant quite remember but it made the evening very moody and almost haunted like. But I just loved the contrast it gave with Amanda and her daughter’s smiling faces. We had to work fast, one because of the fleeting light but also because her daughter was only two. And anyone who has had children or taken care of small children, knows you have about 10 min to capture their mood and that’s it!

Amanda styled her clothes beautiful with the gorgeous colors and the hats! The little expressions both of them gave was priceless. I hope she loves these images as much I do!
