(A Love Letter from Mom)
Ten years ago today, I became a mother.
I didn’t know it then, but you would change every corner of my heart — the way I see love, the way I see the world, even the way I see myself.

Being your mom for a full decade has been the greatest, wildest, sweetest privilege of my life. Every year with you has been its own season, but this year… this one feels like a turning point.

You’re standing in that beautiful, bittersweet in-between place —
still my little girl in so many ways, but also stretching forward into the young woman you’re becoming.
Some days you look at me with those same bright eyes you had during your first birthday cake smash (I’ll never forget that messy, frosting-covered grin).

And other days?
I catch a glimpse of the preteen you’re growing into — confident, expressive, stylish, and full of your own opinions.
You have this incredible blend of girly sparkle and strong spirit.
You love fashion, makeup, cute hairstyles, cozy blankets, organizing your room, decorating our home with me, and making every space feel a little prettier.
You love sitting beside me — at dinner, on the couch, during our little moments. I treasure that more than you know.

You’re fearless in the best way.
You step into new situations with a quiet boldness, trusting yourself, trusting us, trusting the world.
You read people so well — your “truth radar” is sharp even at ten (we won’t call it your BS meter in the blog, but girl… it’s spot on 😅).

You know what feels right, and you’re not afraid to say it.
That strength will carry you far.
But my favorite thing about you?
Your heart.
You love big.
You care deeply.
You glow around the people who matter to you.

And every day, I still see pieces of that sweet toddler who squealed with joy at her cake smash —
the one who made me a mom,
the one who taught me how to love in a bigger way,
the one who will always, always be my baby,
no matter how tall you get or how grown you become.
Kenna, I am so proud of who you are and who you’re growing into.
You are light.
You are joy.
You are everything I prayed for and everything I never knew to ask for.

Thank you for ten years of teaching me how to be a better mother, a better woman, a better version of myself.
Happy 10th Birthday, my girl.
Here’s to the next decade — to the adventures, the growth, the giggles, the sparkles, and the stories still to come.
I love you more than all the years behind us
and all the years ahead.
— Mom 💛
